Fruit and Vegetable Processing

Objective

The aim of the vocational education programme is to prepare competitive professionals for the manufacturing and processing sector, particularly to meet the labour market demands of the food production industry.

 

Admission Requirements

  • Completion of full general education; or
  • Completion of basic general education for applicants enrolling in the vocational education programme integrated with the upper secondary level of general education.

 

Employment Opportunities

Graduates holding a Medium Vocational Qualification in Food Production may be employed as fruit and vegetable processing technicians, food processing machine operators, packaging, bottling, and labelling machine operators, or manual packaging workers in both public and private sector organisations.

 

Programme Duration

  1. Vocational Education Programme – 15.5 months.
  2. Vocational Education Programme integrated with the upper secondary level of general education – 3 years.
