Objective

The aim of the vocational training programme is to prepare learners with the knowledge and practical skills required to work independently in the hairdressing profession. The programme equips participants to perform hair washing, haircutting, beard, moustache, and sideburn shaping, finishing and styling haircuts, interpreting colour charts, classifying hair colour products and selecting appropriate colouring materials, applying various hair colouring techniques, changing hair colour without lightening, hair lightening, highlighting, and creating a variety of hairstyles.

Admission Requirement

• Completion of basic general education.

Graduate Competencies

Upon successful completion of the programme, graduates will be able to:

• Wash hair.
• Perform haircuts and shape beards, moustaches, and sideburns.
• Finish and style haircuts.
• Interpret colour charts, classify hair colouring products, and select appropriate colouring materials.
• Apply a variety of hair colouring techniques.
• Change hair colour without lightening.
• Perform hair lightening.
• Apply highlighting techniques.
• Create hairstyles in a variety of styles and designs.
