Welding
Objective
The aim of the vocational education programme is to prepare competitive professionals capable of meeting the demands of both local and international labour markets in the field of welding. The programme equips learners with the knowledge and practical skills required to perform welding and cutting operations on metal components using gas torches, electric arc welding equipment, and other heating methods.
Admission Requirements
- Completion of full general education; or
- Completion of basic general education for applicants enrolling in the vocational education programme integrated with the upper secondary level of general education.
Employment Opportunities
Graduates holding a Medium Vocational Qualification in Welding may be employed as welders and flame cutters. They perform welding and cutting of metal parts using gas welding equipment, electric arc welding systems, and other thermal processing methods.
Employment opportunities are available in various public and private organisations operating in industrial, construction, and manufacturing sectors.

- Vocational Education Programme – 14 months.
- Vocational Education Programme integrated with the upper secondary level of general education – 2 years.
