Objective

The aim of the vocational education programme is to prepare competitive professionals for the construction sector by developing the knowledge and practical skills required to carry out masonry and structural construction works.

 

Admission Requirement

  • Completion of basic general education.

 

Employment Opportunities

Graduates holding a Basic Vocational Qualification in Construction Works may be employed in the construction of residential, commercial, and industrial buildings, working in outdoor environments and at height.

They may work as self-employed professionals or be employed by construction, renovation, and design companies, as well as public or private organisations engaged in the construction, reconstruction, and structural reinforcement of buildings, including monolithic, precast, and masonry structures, as well as roofing systems.

Typical employment positions include:

  • Monolithic Concrete Construction Technician (foundations, pile caps, walls, columns, floor slabs, etc.)
  • Precast Concrete Structure Installer (foundations, columns, slabs, beams, girders, etc.)
  • Mason (natural and artificial stone structures)
  • Roofing Installer (built-up and bituminous membrane roofing systems)
  • Metal, PVC, and Aluminium Windows and Doors Fabricator and Installer
  • Team Leader
  • Construction Crew Supervisor
