Viticulture and Oenology

Objective:

The programme aims to prepare highly qualified viticulture and oenology specialists who perform their professional duties in compliance with quality, occupational health, and safety standards. Graduates will be able to work in nurseries, vineyards, wine cellars, and wineries, carrying out vineyard establishment and maintenance, harvesting and processing grapes, and participating in the technological processes of wine production and wine care in accordance with technological specifications, production procedures, and established agrotechnological standards.

Upon completion of the three-year programme, graduates will possess both professional and transferable knowledge and skills, while also gaining an understanding of the values and ethical principles of the profession.

Complete General Education.

Career Opportunities:

Holders of a Higher Vocational Qualification in Viticulture and Oenology may be employed as mid-level managers in vineyards, wineries, wine cellars, agricultural enterprises, consulting and information centres, or as consultants in companies operating within the sector. Graduates may also establish and manage their own family-owned business or hold mid-level management positions in public or private organisations engaged in viticulture and winemaking.

Duration of Study:

  1. Vocational Education Programme – 16 months.
  2. Vocational Education Programme delivered through the Dual Education Approach, where more than 50% of the learning outcomes corresponding to the programme's vocational modules are achieved in a real work environment – 3 years.
