Admission to the College is announced twice a year – in spring and autumn.

To enroll in a vocational education programme with state funding, applicants must register on the VET registration portal (vet.ge), where they can select their preferred programme. During registration, applicants will need their personal identification number and email address.

Applicants may select up to three programmes simultaneously and later make a final decision in favour of their preferred programme.

A person who has been granted the status of a person with special educational needs by a psycho-educational assessment and counselling specialist/specialists and who has completed vocational orientation in accordance with established procedures has the right to make an appropriate selection in the registration system for enrolment purposes. The system ensures that the applicant is offered only those programmes for which a positive recommendation has been issued.

There are three types of vocational education programmes in Georgia: Basic Vocational Education Programmes, Secondary Vocational Education Programmes, and Higher Vocational Education Programmes.

Basic Vocational Education Programmes

Admission to a basic vocational education programme requires possession of a document certifying at least basic general education (9 grades).

Secondary Vocational Education Programmes

Admission to a secondary vocational education programme requires possession of a document certifying complete general education (12 grades) or an equivalent qualification.

A person holding a document certifying at least basic general education (9 grades) may also enroll in a secondary vocational education programme that integrates the learning outcomes of upper secondary general education. Upon successful completion of an integrated programme, graduates receive a diploma equivalent to a certificate of complete general education.

Higher Vocational Education Programmes

Admission to a higher vocational education programme requires possession of a document certifying complete general education (12 grades) or an equivalent qualification.

Training in these programmes is primarily practice-oriented and is delivered through close cooperation between the educational institution and relevant business organizations. Some programmes are implemented through a dual education approach, meaning that the educational institution and the company share responsibility for student training, and at least 50% of the learning outcomes defined by the vocational modules are achieved in a real work environment within the company.

Admission to basic and secondary vocational programmes is based on decisions made by the admission committee established by the college. The selection method is determined by the institution itself.

Admission to higher vocational education programmes is based on applicant assessment conducted through testing organized by the National Assessment and Examinations Centre of Georgia. The testing schedule is determined by an individual administrative-legal act issued by the Minister.

For basic and secondary vocational programmes, the educational institution organizes the selection process. In the case of programmes implemented through the dual education model, students are selected jointly by the educational institution and the employer company.

Vocational testing may be taken in Georgian, Russian, Armenian, or Azerbaijani. Applicants who take the vocational test in a foreign language will first study a Georgian language module and then continue their studies in their chosen vocational programme.

Following the completion of the selection process, applicants must submit the required documents and sign an agreement with the chosen institution within the deadlines established by the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia in order to obtain student status.

Required Documents for Admission

• Copy of the educational qualification document;
• Copy of an identity document;
• Two colour photographs (3×4 cm);
• Personal application (or application submitted by a legal representative);
• Document confirming military registration status or removal from military registration for conscripts.

Additional Documents for Minor Applicants

In addition to the documents listed above, minor applicants must also submit:

• Copy of the birth certificate;
• Copy of the parent’s or legal representative’s identity document;
• If necessary, a notarized authorization document (power of attorney) issued by the parent concerning guardianship arrangements.

If, after the admission process, institutions still have vacant places available, information about these vacancies will be published in the management system (vet.ge). Applicants who were not granted the right to study will be able to view available vacancies and make a new selection through the registration system (vet..ge), subject to the availability of vacant places, and obtain student status in accordance with established procedures.
